3 hurt in separate shooting incidents

Three men were wounded in two separate shooting incidents along Normal Road and at Sta. Maria yesterday and last Monday night.

 

Police identified the victims as Jubert Barjose alias Tisoy, Salimar Esteban, both part-time jeepney barker and Reynaldo Fabiona, of Cabatangan.

Barjose and Esteban were shot and wounded by one of two men riding tandem on a motorcycle shortly before 3 p.m. yesterday.

Initial investigation disclosed that Barjose and Esteban were having a drinking spree beside the concrete fence of the Western Mindanao State University when two men aboard a motorcycle came in and the backrider opened on them using  a .38 cal. revolver.

The gunmen sped aboard a motorcycle towards an unknown direction.

Barjose was rushed to the Brent Hospital aboard a police car while Esteban was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical by concerned citizens.

Fabiona was riding a motorcycle together with his companions identified as Gregorio Santos and Christopher Sagun on their way to Sta. Maria from Cabatangan when two men aboard another motorcycle apepared and the backrider shot him at Baguio Valley in Gov. Ramos Avenue. — Dan Toribio Jr.
