Media candidates

There are two sides of the coin when it comes to opinions made by the media on the current campaign in the local election. On one side, you will hear good things said about Mayor Celso L. Lobregat and his Unity-Lakas-LDP. On the other, one will hear beautiful things said about Crisanto dela Cruz and his Nuevo Zamboanga group. But wait a minute, there is another group who is neither for nor against, but go where there is money. AH things said, this is really democracy in action. Nowadays, one can't ask the media to play fair as they really take sides. Anyway, it is better to hear the media taking sides than to see diem with no candidates at all, meaning they are for this particular candidate now and the next day for another. But still we can't blame them for their actions.

How many from media are running in the local election? Practically a great many if we are to count even those part-rime commentators and announcers. But if one is to follow who realty are the broadcasters and commentators at the Violence Act, the Anti-Human Trafficking Act and the law that made a national holiday the Muslim celebration of the end of Ramadan. She was also instrumental in the passage of RA 9262 which protects women and their children from abuse, whether they be physical, psychological or emotional in nature or by way of denying them support.

Among the things which Sen. Edgardo J. Angara will push for in the 14th Congress are: The Pre-Need Code: Corporate Recovery Act; Revised Investment Company Act (RICA); Amending the BSP Charter to better oversee the banking system; Introduction of the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT); Enact and implement the Mindanao Incentive Development Act (MIDA); Expansion and revitalization of the Special Education Program; Salary and benefits upgrade for teachers and other public employees; Establish a Health Data Center; Institutionalize School Feeding Programs; Philippine-France Friendship Day; Increasing the discount privilege to our senior citizens from 20% to 34%; and Expanding the coverage of PhilHealth by establishing the Children's Health Insurance Program. As I've said, Ed Angara is the longest serving Senator we have.
