Speaker Nancy Pelosi of the U.S. House of Representatives has given assurances to Philippine Speaker Jose de Venecia that the chamber would give the “highest political priority” to the Filipino Veterans Equity Bill that could provide up to US$ 90 million a year to some 18,000 surviving Filipino World War II veterans.
